The MegaSD supports adding CD audio to existing Genesis / Mega Drive roms using special patches.  There are multiple formats out there to do this.  TerraOnion created the MD+ format which currently only works on the MegaSD cartridge.  it allows for seamless looping and fade-in/fade-out effects.  There is an older format, Mode 0, that similarly allows CD audio to be added to games but it doesn't have all of the advanced features of MD+.  MSU-MD, the format that is supported by the Everdrive Pro, is based on this format.  The benefit to Mode 0 / MSU-MD is that it allows you to burn a CD and use the enhanced audio on real hardware.
